Setting Up PPPOE (WinPoet Equivalent)
using windows XP.
1- First
of all ensure that all cables are correctly connected, especially
the data cable running from your network card and the express path
unit.
2 - Once
you are sure all cables are connected proceed to the " Control
Panel "
3 - While
in the Control Panel switch to classic view (can be done by clicking
the " switch to classic
view " link on the top left hand side)
4 - Double
Click Network Connections and when
opened click the link that reads " create
a new connection " again at
the top left hand side.
5 - A
wizard will then Pop up " Welcome
To The New Connection Wizard " you then click Next.
 
6 - Connect
To The Internet is already selected, leave as is then click Next.
7 - On
the next screen select " Set
Up My Connection Manually " then click Next.

8 - When
prompted select " Connect using a broadband connection
that requires a username and password " then
proceed to the next screen.
9 -Your
ISP name should be " MARPIN ", when you
have typed this in click Next
10 - Include your username which
was submitted in your application form, then include the password as
well as confirm that password . At
the bottom of the current screen Remove the "check" on
the last option (Turn on internet connection
firewall...) click Next.
 
11 - Check " Add
a short cut to this connection to my desktop " and then
click " Finish "
12 - A small box
should now pop up showing your username but not your password,
However your password is there but not shown.
You should now only click the Connect button.
13 - Your username
and password should be verified and once accepted a small icon
would now show up on your task bar showing connected to marpin.
